Welcome to the Kitchener Master Gardeners of Ontario Inc. Website!

We are an independent non-profit organization dedicated to helping home gardeners.

Master Gardeners (MGs) in the Province of Ontario are experienced gardeners who have studied horticulture extensively and continue to upgrade their skills through technical training. With this training and continuing education, Master Gardeners provide expert horticultural advice to the general public.

Seed to Table

If you want to know where your food comes from and how it's being treated, one great solution is to grow it yourself!

We can help you grow the biggest, most beautiful, pest and disease free plants. You will reap the benefits with an amazing harvest. The focus of this 8 week program is on edible plants and their beneficial companions. Options are explored for all sizes of gardens including small urban plots, patios and balconies.

Please join us or consider buying this as a terrific gift for the beginning gardener or new home owner!

Recommended for Beginner to Intermediate Gardeners

8 weeks of classroom instruction and hands-on workshops covering everything from soil preparation and seed selection to planting, maintaining, harvesting and preserving. Learn about the gardener’s part in helping veggies and fruit attract the necessary pollinators and achieve their best growing potential. Focus is on gardens you can EAT as well as colourful and helpful companion flowers.

Cost – $100 which covers the eight sessions, some basic planting supplies, and personalized coaching as needed.
